Jewell was recently announced as one of the inaugural filmmaking fellows selected for the Silver Lake Shorts Fellowship! She is currently completing post-production for her short film What Happens in Vegas supported by the Silver Lake Shorts fellowship grant.

Jewell is a proud member of Women in Media, and was selected to be a part of their 2025 Activate Impact Initiative program for emerging filmmakers, supported by funding from Los Angeles County Arts & Culture.
​
Jewell is a writer and director with an extensive comedy background, often fusing whimsical settings with bittersweet comedy. Joining 12 comedians in WhoHaha's 2019 Video Lab, Jewell worked with WhoHaha (Elizabeth Banks), to produce her original parody video The Sweet Turtle Bachelor. Her short film Earthlings was selected for The Pack Comedy Film Festival, and her romantic comedy short film Ghostfriend screened at LA Loft Movie Club at Braindead Studios.

TTRPG fans might recognize Jewell from her time hosting Tabletop News, or as heartthrob Ecstasy in The Party, an ensemble comedy web series about a group of D&D friends that GamingTrend calls "refreshing blend of comedy and psychology." Season one has garnered over a million views on YouTube.

Jewell stars in upcoming short film Spies in Corsets directed by Joey Haley, which recently premiered at NewFilmmakers Los Angeles. Jewell was proud to portray LGBT activist Lillian Faderman in 365 Days of Love, directed by Allison Tate and produced by RAZE (Sofia Vergara).

Jewell is an accomplished improv performer and has taught and performed all over the country.​ Jewell studied sketch comedy writing with Eric Scott at Upright Citizens Brigade, Jen Curran at The Ruby LA, writing for television with Patricia Villetto, and feature film screenwriting with David Grant at FilmNorth. Jewell studied acting at American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, San Diego State University, and NYU Tisch. She continued her acting training in LA with Tess Paras and Annie Grindlay.​​
